Wickersham Family File

Dated Sept. 4, 1862, this document is a safe conduct pass for three men, Isaac and Ben Parker, and John Parker (?) to return to their homes in Indiana. They were probably residents of Henry County. The pass is authorized at Louisville by Kentucky Governor James F. Robinson (1800 – 1882) and Kentucky Secretary of State Daniel Carmichael Wickliffe (1810 – 1870). The reverse bears the name of Emma Wickersham of Rich Square, Franklin Township, Henry County.

Sometimes difficult to decipher, the letters are presented along with transcripts, allowing for easy page by page viewing.
