Biological Specimens

The Biological Specimen Collection is part of the Educational Resources Collections' Realia Collection.

This collection displays a wide variety of plant and animal life and is valuable in the study and teaching of the biological sciences. Some of the items represented are bird and mammal taxidermy, shells, microscopic slides, and mounted items such insects, germinating seeds, and water dwelling life. These materials can be used in the study and teaching of the earth sciences on the pre-school through college levels.

All of the specimens are available for check out from the Educational Resources Collections. To check an item's availability, click on the "Locate This Item in CardCat" link in the document description view (CardCat will open in your browser window).
