The Ball State Student Filmmakers Collection houses original short films that were written, produced, directed, performed, filmed, and edited entirely by students. The collection includes the "Hands Across McKinley" films: an interdisciplinary effort to develop projects in digital video production at Ball State University. The program, unlike any in the country, draws together five academic departments from three colleges and provides an immersive student experience that has yielded several thousand hours of student engagement as well as an Academy Award from the 32nd Annual Student Academy Award ceremony.
