The Sheet Music digital collection provides electronic access to historic sheet music dating from the 1870s to the 1920s from Europe and the United States. Most of the music is for piano and voice. Styles documented include popular music, secular art song, sacred art song, and songs pertaining to the United States in wartime.
Included in this digital collection is sheet music from the Hague Collection, which was collected by Frank Penwell and donated to Ball State University Libraries by Elizabeth Hague, his daughter, in 2006. Much of this collection is comprised of popular music titles, including songs from movies and Vaudeville productions.
