The Sheet Music digital collection provides online access to historic sheet music predominantly from the United States dating from the 1840s to 1922. Most of the music is for piano and voice. Styles documented include popular music, secular art song, sacred art song, and songs pertaining to the United States in wartime.
Included in this digital collection is sheet music from the Hague Collection, which was collected by Frank Penwell and donated to Ball State University Libraries by Elizabeth Hague, his daughter, in 2006. Much of this collection is comprised of popular music titles, including songs from movies and Vaudeville productions.
