Part of the Ball State University Libraries Educational Resources Collections' Realia Collection, the dolls in the Dolls digital collection range in date from the 1930s - 1990s. They represent people from a wide range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. A few of the dolls depict historical figures like William Penn, Benjamin Franklin, and Martha Washington. Also included are characters from popular fiction including Lewis Carroll's Alice, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes, and Humpty Dumpty.
